Defence Minister Rajnath Singh unveiled 90 Border Roads Organisation (BRO) projects in Jammu and Kashmir, valued at Rs 2,941 crore. The milestone includes the 422.9-meter Devak Bridge, enhancing troop mobility and regional development. These initiatives span 10 northern and northeastern states and Union Territories, addressing challenging terrains and harsh weather. Notably, the world’s highest fighter airfield was inaugurated at Nyoma, Ladakh, bolstering IAF capabilities. The BRO’s commitment to border infrastructure has seen 205 projects worth Rs 5,100 crore in two years, contributing to national security and connectivity.
