Indian Army Joins 34-Nation ‘Exercise Bright Star’ in Egypt

Egypt – Indian Army troops are actively participating in the multinational military exercise ‘Exercise Bright Star’ in Egypt, which involves 34 nations. The exercise is in its final phase, scheduled to conclude on September 14. As part of this collaborative effort, the Indian Air Force refueled Egyptian Air Force Mig 29 M and Rafale fighter aircraft with an IL-78 tanker. This marks India’s maiden participation in the historic event, the largest joint military exercise ever held in the Middle East and North Africa region. The exercise aims to strengthen cooperation and enhance maritime security among participating nations.
