Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Terrorism is now confined to only two-and-a-half districts of Jammu and Kashmir, from earlier, when it was rampant across the Union Territory. The situation is much better than what it was in 2014,” Modi said.

“Terrorism is now confined to only two-and-a-half districts of Jammu and Kashmir,” the PM said while addressing a rally in Jammu city, marking the beginning of the BJP’s campaign for the upcoming assembly elections in the UT.

He added that the government is working to ensure that terrorism is completely wiped out from the region.

“We are working to ensure that terrorism is completely wiped out from Jammu and Kashmir. We will not rest until the last terrorist is eliminated,” Modi said.

The Prime Minister’s statement comes at a time when there has been a resurgence in terrorist violence in Jammu and Kashmir. In the past few months, there have been several attacks on security forces and civilians.

However, the security forces have also been successful in carrying out operations against terrorists. In the past few months, several terrorists have been killed in encounters.

The government is also taking steps to address the root causes of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. These steps include development, employment generation, and good governance.

The Prime Minister’s statement is a welcome sign. It shows that the government is committed to bringing terrorism to an end in Jammu and Kashmir.
